A Life Fully Surrendered - Day 1: The Character That Defines Us

Day 1: The Character That Defines Us
Reading: 1 Samuel 16:7; Acts 6:3-5

Devotional:
Stephen was chosen not for his credentials, but for his character—a man full of wisdom, faith, and the Holy Spirit. God reminded Samuel that He looks at the heart, not outward appearance. Character is who you are when no one is watching. It's the fabric of your life woven through consistent choices to trust God and extend grace to others.

Today, ask yourself: What does my character reveal about my relationship with God? Am I merely going through religious motions, or am I permeated by the Holy Spirit? True character isn't manufactured for public display; it flows from a heart surrendered to Christ. Like Stephen, let your reputation be built on the foundation of Spirit-filled living, not worldly success.

Application:
Identify one area where your private character doesn't match your public persona. Confess it to God and ask the Holy Spirit to transform you from the inside out.
