Day 3: Purified as His Own Possession
Reading: Ephesians 5:25-27; John 17:17
Devotional:
Jesus didn't redeem you just to leave you unchanged. He redeemed you to purify you for Himself—His own special possession, chosen and loved. Like a bridegroom preparing his bride, Christ cleanses His Church through the washing of the Word. This purification is both His work and requires our participation. We're called to live out the reality of who we already are in Christ. The Word sanctifies us; the Spirit empowers us. Walking in victory means refusing compromise and actively engaging with Scripture and the Spirit's leading. Today, ask yourself: Am I allowing God's Word to wash over my thinking, attitudes, and actions? Set aside time to read Scripture, letting it expose and cleanse areas that need transformation.
