Wholeheartedly Following God - Day 4: Getting Out of the Boat

Day 4: Getting Out of the Boat
Reading: Matthew 4:18-22; Luke 5:1-11

Devotional:
When Jesus called His first disciples, they were going about their ordinary lives in their boats. They didn't know who He truly was, where He would lead them, or what following would cost. Yet at His simple invitation—"Follow Me"—they left everything behind. They didn't grab a few nets "just in case" or follow only on convenient days. They completely abandoned their old lives to follow Him. Jesus offers you the same invitation today: Follow Me and experience fullness of life; Follow Me and see things you can't imagine; Follow Me and become who you were created to be. But first, you must get out of your boat. What boat are you clinging to for security? What safety net are you keeping in reserve? True discipleship requires leaving the familiar and stepping into complete trust. Today, identify what you need to leave behind and take that step of faith.
