Moving Forward in Christ - Day 4: The Prize Ahead

Day 4: The Prize Ahead
Reading: 1 Corinthians 9:24, 1 John 3:2-3, 2 Timothy 4:6-8

Devotional:
Every runner needs a finish line. Paul ran his race with the prize clearly in view: the upward call of God and ultimate conformity to Christ. When Jesus appears, we shall be like Him. This isn't wishful thinking—it's our guaranteed destiny as believers. But here's the key: those who have this hope actively purify themselves. The goal isn't mere participation; it's running to win. Our culture celebrates showing up, but God calls us to excellence in our spiritual race. Paul could confidently say at life's end, "I have finished the race." A runner who constantly looks into the stands loses the race. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith. What specific spiritual goal are you pursuing this year? Are you running with purpose, or just going through the motions?
