Wholeheartedly Following God - Day 2: Single-Minded Devotion in a Distracted World

Day 2: Single-Minded Devotion in a Distracted World
Reading: Proverbs 4:25-27; Philippians 3:13-14

Devotional:
King Josiah faced countless demands—running a nation, managing family responsibilities, navigating political pressures. Yet he maintained single-minded devotion to God. Paul understood this principle: "One thing I do." In our world of endless distractions and competing loyalties, we must decide before temptation comes where our eyes will focus. The detours promise much but lead to dead ends; only the kingdom path leads to eternal significance. Like a focused athlete, we cannot allow our gaze to wander to the right or left. What "one thing" directs all your decisions? Is pleasing God your singular goal, or are you pulled in multiple directions? Set your eyes straight ahead today. Make the decision now—before temptation arrives—to keep your focus Godward in all things.
