Lives Changed by Christ - Day 1: The Power of Intentional Ministry

Day 1: The Power of Intentional Ministry
Reading: Acts 9:32-35; James 1:22, 27

Devotional:
Peter didn't stumble upon Aeneas by accident. He was intentionally checking on churches, walking streets, entering homes, and seeking those who needed Christ's touch. Many of us sit waiting for ministry opportunities to find us, but Peter's example challenges us to actively look for them. True faith is demonstrated through action, not passive observation. James reminds us that pure religion involves intentionally visiting those in trouble. Today, consider who God has placed in your path. Are you waiting in comfort, or are you walking the streets of your community with eyes open to need? The paralyzed, the hurting, and the lost are not accidents—they are divine appointments waiting for your intentional response.

So often I believe we look at any thing that is not listed as in our agenda to achieve that day as an interruption or distraction. But what if we started looking at those as opportunities to minister to others. When we look back over miracles that are recorded in the Bible, those were times that Jesus was interrupted by believers of faith.

nSo instead of being frustrated by the interruption, the delay, or the distraction, look for the opportunity to minister. Just something that God showed me today.

So true. When we see interruptions as opportunities they go from being frustrating to exciting ...
