Wholeheartedly Following God - Day 5: A Religion Worth Everything

Day 5: A Religion Worth Everything
Reading: 2 Chronicles 34:1-4; 1 Chronicles 22:19

Devotional:
Martin Luther said, "A religion that gives nothing, costs nothing, and suffers nothing, is worth nothing." Josiah didn't wait until adulthood to pursue God wholeheartedly—he started at eight years old and intensified his seeking at sixteen. His example challenges every excuse we make about age, circumstances, or seasons of life. Why should teenagers back off on godliness? Why do college students drift away? Why do adults lose their zeal over time? God is looking for Josiahs in every generation—those who will say, "Oh God, that I might please You in how I respond, in how I dress, in what I listen to, in what I participate in." Are you developing daily habits that support wholehearted devotion? Have you decided now how you'll respond in temptation? Your commitment today determines your victory tomorrow. Set your heart fully to seek the Lord your God.
