Passion for Christ - Day 2: Standing Firm in the Storm

Day 2: Standing Firm in the Storm
Reading: Acts 8:1-2; Daniel 6:10-13

Devotional:
While others fled persecution, the apostles stayed in Jerusalem. Devout men buried Stephen and mourned openly, risking their lives to honor a man condemned as a criminal. Their actions declared allegiance to Christ when silence seemed safer. Standing firm doesn't always mean dramatic gestures; sometimes it's simply refusing to hide your faith when others expect you to. Daniel continued praying with windows open despite the king's decree. These believers identified with Stephen despite mob violence. First Corinthians 15:58 calls us to be "steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord." When cultural pressure demands you distance yourself from Christ, will you stand? Your witness in threatening moments may be your most powerful testimony.
