The Spirit-Filled Life - Day 2: Standing with the Truth

Day 2: Standing with the Truth
Reading: Matthew 26:57-68

Devotional:

Stephen saw Jesus standing at the right hand of God—a remarkable vision since Scripture elsewhere describes Christ as seated, His redemptive work complete. Why standing? Jesus stood to welcome His faithful witness home, to affirm Stephen's testimony, and to demonstrate He is alive and active.

When Stephen declared, "I see the Son of Man standing," he used the same title Jesus claimed at His trial, the very claim that led to His crucifixion. Stephen's vision confirmed what the religious leaders had rejected: Jesus is who He said He is. The One they killed is gloriously alive.

In our own trials, Jesus stands with us. He is not distant or disinterested. When the world pressures us to deny truth, Jesus stands as our advocate, our witness, and our reward.

Reflection: Where do you need courage to testify about Jesus today, knowing He stands with you?
