Day 1: The Heart Exposed
Reading: Acts 7:51-54
Devotional:
When Stephen spoke truth, his listeners were "cut to the heart"—their inner reality exposed like a façade torn away. Conviction from the Holy Spirit reveals what lies beneath our carefully constructed exteriors. The question is: how will we respond? Will we gnash our teeth in anger, or will we allow God's truth to lead us to repentance?
The Holy Spirit's conviction is not meant to condemn but to redirect us toward Jesus. When you feel that uncomfortable stirring in your spirit, recognize it as God's loving hand drawing you closer. Don't ignore it, medicate it, or rationalize it away. Let conviction do its transformative work, removing the masks we wear and revealing our need for the Savior.
