Day 3: The Greatest Rescue Mission

Devotional:
God didn't send a message or a method—He sent Himself. The Eternal Word became flesh and moved into the neighborhood. This is the heart of Advent: the Creator entering creation, divinity wrapped in humanity. Why? Because without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sin. We needed a substitute, and God provided one—Himself. Jesus is the Lamb that Abraham saw provided on the mountain, the Passover Lamb whose blood spared Israel. He humbled Himself, choosing the cross when He could have called legions of angels. This wasn't Plan B; this was the rescue mission planned before the foundation of the world. Today, let the wonder of the Incarnation wash over you. God loves you enough to become like you to save you.
