Day 5: Jesus Is Our Joy
Reading: John 14:1-6; John 16:33; Ephesians 2:1-13
Devotional:
Without Christ, we were dead in trespasses, without hope, without God in the world. But Jesus declared, "I am the way, the truth, and the life." He came as Light into darkness, Hope into despair, Life into death. Every miracle He performed pointed to His ultimate work—conquering sin and death through His resurrection. Now He sits at the Father's right hand, interceding for us. For the hopeless, He is Hope. For the desperate, He is the Answer. For the lonely, He is a Friend. For the fearful, He is Courage. For the downcast, He is Joy. Jesus said, "In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Let the things of earth grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace. He is worthy of your worship—not just at Christmas, but every day.
