Moving Forward in Christ - Day 3: Freedom from the Past

Day 3: Freedom from the Past
Reading: Philippians 3:13b, Romans 8:28-29

Devotional:
Paul understood a liberating truth: the past doesn't have to control your future. Whether haunted by failures, sins, past hurts, or even previous victories, dwelling on yesterday hinders today's progress. Your windshield is larger than your rearview mirror for a reason—you're meant to look forward, not backward. Paul had plenty to regret: persecuting Christians, imprisonment, beatings. Yet he refused to let his past define his present. God's purpose is to conform you to Christ's image, and He works all things—including your past—toward that goal. Whatever you've done or whatever has been done to you, God offers freedom to move forward. Confess what needs confessing, receive His forgiveness, and release what you cannot change. What past experience are you allowing to hinder your present spiritual growth?
