Devotional:
The Holy Spirit spoke through prophets, warning of coming famine. The church didn't debate or delay—they determined to help and then did it. Notice the sequence: God's Word came, they decided, and they acted. This is a church directed by God's Word and Spirit.
Being directed by God means listening for His voice through Scripture and the Holy Spirit, then responding obediently. The Antioch believers gave according to their ability—each contributing what they could. No one was excluded from participating in God's work.
God still speaks and directs His people today. Are you listening? Are you positioned to hear through regular time in His Word? When you sense His leading, do you respond with immediate obedience? Faith without works is dead. The thriving church doesn't just hear God's Word; they do what it says. Let God direct your steps today.
