Day 2: The Joy That Sustains the Witness

Devotional:
Acts 13:52 records that the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit. This is remarkable because it follows a moment of rejection and opposition. Joy in the New Testament is not the product of favorable circumstances. It is the overflow of a Spirit-filled life. A depleted, discouraged believer struggles to speak the gospel with any sense of life or conviction. But a believer filled with genuine joy becomes a living demonstration of the message they are proclaiming. People are drawn to what they want. When they see joy that does not depend on comfort or ease, they want to know its source. Your joy is part of your witness.

Would those around you describe your faith as joyful? What is currently draining your spiritual fullness rather than contributing to it?
Practical Application:
Identify one spiritual discipline this week, whether prayer, Scripture reading, or corporate worship, that you have been neglecting, and return to it as a means of being refilled rather than remaining depleted.
