Day 4: When God's Word Cannot Be Stopped
Reading: Isaiah 55:11 and Acts 5:38-39
Devotional:
Herod killed James. He imprisoned Peter. He wielded the full weight of political and military power against the early church. And then he was gone, eaten by worms, carried out to die. The very next verse in Acts 12 records that the Word of God grew and multiplied. The contrast is stark and intentional. No opposition, no persecution, no government, no cultural pressure, and no enemy strategy can frustrate what God has purposed to accomplish. His Word goes out and does not return empty. If you are discouraged by the state of the church or the hostility of the world, remember — you are on the winning side.
