Day 1: Overcoming Presuppositions
Reading: Acts 5:17-25
As we read about the miraculous release of the apostles from prison, we're challenged to examine our own presuppositions about how God works. The Sadducees, despite witnessing incredible miracles, remained blind to God's movement because of their preconceived notions. How often do we limit God's power in our lives because we've decided how He should or shouldn't act? Today, let's pray for open hearts and minds, asking God to reveal Himself in ways that might surprise us. Consider areas in your life where you may have put God in a box, and invite Him to work beyond your expectations.
