On the Emmaus road, Jesus opened the Scriptures, showing how all pointed to Himself. Stephen followed this pattern, demonstrating that Moses, the prophets, and all Jewish history anticipated the Messiah they had rejected. Every Old Testament story whispers His name: Abraham's promised seed, Joseph the betrayed savior, Moses the prophet-deliverer, the Tabernacle revealing God's desire to dwell with humanity. When you read Scripture, look for Jesus. He is the thread woven through every book, the fulfillment of every promise, the answer to every longing. Are you reading the Bible merely for moral lessons, or are you encountering Christ? Ask the Holy Spirit to open your eyes as you read, revealing Jesus in unexpected places.
