Stephen was ready. When accused, he didn't panic or compromise. Filled with the Holy Spirit and deeply rooted in Scripture, he gave a powerful defense of the faith. Peter calls us to always be ready to give an answer for the hope within us, with gentleness and respect. Jude urges us to contend earnestly for the faith. This requires preparation. You cannot defend what you do not know or share what has not transformed you. Stephen's knowledge wasn't merely intellectual; it flowed from a heart sanctified to God. Are you ready to explain your faith when asked? Can you point others to Jesus through Scripture? Commit to knowing God's Word deeply, not to win arguments but to faithfully represent Christ. Let your life and lips testify to the hope that anchors your soul.
