A Life Fully Surrendered - Day 4: Power for Witness, Not Just Wisdom

Day 4: Power for Witness, Not Just Wisdom
Reading: Acts 6:8; Acts 1:8; Exodus 34:29-35

Devotional:
Stephen didn't just possess wisdom; he demonstrated God's power through wonders and signs. His life wasn't mere religious motion but a vibrant display of divine power. When Moses spent time with God, his face glowed with visible evidence of an invisible reality. Stephen's face shone like an angel's—not because he was a chubby cherub, but because he had been with God.

The transfiguration of Christ showed His true glory. While we won't always experience mountaintop moments, our lives should consistently reflect the Holy Spirit's presence. Every moment may not be happy, but each should display the fruit of Someone greater dwelling within us.

What does your countenance reveal? Does your face show the peace, joy, and confidence that come from being in God's hands? You cannot fake genuine intimacy with God—it shows.

Application:
Spend extended time in God's presence today. Read Scripture, worship, and pray until His peace fills you. Let others see the difference.
