The Unstoppable Church - Day 4: Worthy to Suffer

Day 4: Worthy to Suffer
Reading: Acts 5:40-42; Isaiah 12:1

After being flogged, the apostles left "rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer dishonor for the name." This response defies human logic. How could beaten men rejoice? Because they understood something profound: suffering for Jesus is a privilege, not a punishment. When Christ becomes our greatest treasure, even persecution cannot diminish our joy. The apostles didn't rejoice in pain itself, but in the honor of being associated with Jesus' name. Their identity was so rooted in Him that temporary suffering couldn't shake their eternal perspective. What robs you of joy today? Financial stress? Relational conflict? Health concerns? When Jesus is truly our greatest worth, circumstances lose their power to define our emotional state. Fix your eyes on His name today.
