Standing Firm in Gospel Opposition - Day 3: When the Message Gets Twisted

Day 3: When the Message Gets Twisted
Reading:  Acts 6:11-14; 2 Corinthians 4:3-4

Devotional:
Stephen's opponents couldn't refute his message, so they twisted it. They induced false witnesses and stirred up crowds with distorted accusations. This remains Satan's strategy today. Paul explains that "the god of this age has blinded" minds to prevent the light of the Gospel from shining. We must communicate Christ with clarity and grace, yet understand that some will still misrepresent our words. The public that shouted "Hosanna" quickly cried "Crucify Him." Don't be surprised when your message is distorted or when people turn against you. Your responsibility is faithful communication, not controlling how others respond. Jesus Himself was misunderstood and misrepresented. Take comfort: if they twisted His words, they'll twist yours too. Keep speaking truth anyway.
