The True Nature of Saving Faith - Day 3: The Spirit's True Work

Day 3: The Spirit's True Work
Reading: Acts 7:51-53; Ezekiel 36:25-27

Devotional:
Simon saw the Holy Spirit as power to be purchased and wielded for personal advantage. He completely misunderstood the Spirit's nature and purpose. The Holy Spirit is not a force we control but the Person of God who transforms and controls us. He doesn't come to enhance our abilities or boost our reputation; He comes to convict, cleanse, and conform us to Christ's image. Those who resist the Spirit, like Simon, reveal hearts still bound in bitterness and captive to sin. The Spirit's presence produces humility, holiness, and hunger for God—not hunger for spiritual power or status. When God's Spirit truly indwells a person, the evidence is transformation, not performance. Have you received the Spirit as Master to be obeyed, or are you seeking spiritual experiences while resisting His authority over your life?
