An authentic encounter with Jesus is overwhelming. When Saul met the risen Christ, he was struck blind by brilliant light at noon—the Light of the World breaking into his darkness—and he fell to the ground. John's vision in Revelation shows the same response: falling down as dead before the unveiled glory of Christ. The lowly Jesus we often sentimentalize is also the exalted King whose eyes blaze like fire. Meeting Him shatters our comfortable worldviews and self-righteous assumptions. Saul thought he knew God, but he had never truly seen Jesus. This divine encounter changed everything. Have you experienced Jesus as He truly is, or only as you've imagined Him? Genuine faith begins when we fall before His majesty and surrender our illusions to be replaced by His Truth.
