The great paradox of Palm Sunday is this: Jesus is both perfectly just and completely merciful. These qualities seem contradictory—how can a just judge freely forgive? Yet in Christ, they meet at the cross. He doesn't overlook our sin (which wouldn't be just), nor does He condemn us for it (which would leave none saved). Instead, He takes our condemnation upon Himself. Jesus took the punishment for the world. This wasn't a moment of weakness but the greatest demonstration of strength and love. Today, consider: Have you accepted this free gift of salvation? Are you trying to earn what can only be received?
