Day 2: The Humble King Who Brings Peace
Reading: Isaiah 53:1-6; Romans 5:1-2
Devotional:
Kings rode war horses into battle; they rode donkeys in peacetime. Jesus deliberately chose the donkey, signaling His mission: not conquest through violence, but peace through sacrifice. Our sin created enmity between us and God, a chasm no human effort could bridge. But "the chastisement for our peace was upon Him." Through His wounds, we find healing; through His humility, we gain access to the throne room of grace. Peace with God isn't a feeling we manufacture—it's a position we occupy through faith in Christ. Today, rest in this truth: if you belong to Jesus, you stand in grace, reconciled to the Father, with full access to His presence.
