Living Your Part in God's Story - Day 2: Obedience Over Understanding

Day 2: Obedience Over Understanding
Reading: Jonah 1:1-17; 3:1-10

Devotional:
Ananias received specific instructions to find Saul—the very man who had been persecuting Christians. It didn't make sense. It seemed dangerous. Yet he went. Jonah's story reminds us of the cost of delayed obedience. When God's instructions don't align with our logic or comfort, we face a choice: our way or His way. Ananias surrendered his fears and trusted God with his life. Jonah ran, and it cost him dearly before he finally obeyed. God's commands often don't make sense from our limited perspective, but He sees the greater purpose. What is God asking you to do that seems illogical or uncomfortable? The Gospel changes people—Jesus changes hearts. Trust that God knows what He's doing, even when you don't. Delayed obedience is still disobedience.
