Day 4: The Mind of Christ—Humility and Obedience
Reading: Philippians 2:5-11
Devotional:
Jesus, being God, made Himself nothing. He took on human form and humbled Himself to the point of death on a cross. This is the mindset we're called to adopt. If the King of Glory could surrender His rights and privileges for God's greater purpose, how much more should we surrender our preferences, fears, and comfort? Ananias demonstrated this mind when he went to Saul despite the danger. He made himself available for God's purposes, trusting that God's plan was greater than his safety. Living between Acts and Revelation means we're part of an unfolding story where humility and obedience are the hallmarks of Kingdom citizens. Where is pride or self-protection keeping you from stepping into God's plan? Ask God to cultivate Christ's humble, obedient heart in you today.
