"Be still, and know that I am God." These words promise a future reality when Christ returns—when chariots are destroyed, bows are broken, and wars cease to the ends of the earth. Jesus will speak peace and it will be so. For a thousand years, the whole world will know rest under His reign. But this promise also speaks to our present: God is our refuge now, even amid chaos. Like prisoners in that camp who were free three days before the news arrived, we can live in the peace Christ has already secured. Today, practice stillness before God. Let the promise of His ultimate victory quiet your anxious heart. He who will one day rule all nations holds your circumstances today.
