Day 1: The Foundation of Our Faith
Reading: 1 Peter 2:4-5; 1 Corinthians 3:10-11
Devotional:
Just as a building requires a solid foundation, the church must be built upon Christ, the living stone. The early church experienced growth during peaceful times because they remained anchored to this unshakable foundation. Today, examine your own spiritual foundation. Are you actively being built up as a living stone in God's spiritual house? Each believer contributes to this sacred structure, not through grand gestures, but through daily faithfulness—one spiritual "two-by-four" at a time. Consider how your attitudes and actions either strengthen or weaken the foundation of your local church. Remember, no other foundation can be laid than Jesus Christ. When peace surrounds us, we must intentionally build upon this cornerstone, ensuring our lives reflect His truth and grace.
