Day 5: Zealous for Good Works
Reading: Titus 2:11-14 and Ephesians 2:8-10
Devotional:
Christ redeemed us for a purpose: to purify a people zealous for good works. We're saved by grace through faith, not by works—yet we're created in Christ Jesus for good works God prepared beforehand. This isn't contradiction but beautiful design. Salvation is God's gift; good works are our grateful response. Dorcas exemplified this truth. Her works didn't earn salvation but evidenced genuine faith. She kept on doing good, not occasionally but consistently—a lifestyle of generosity and compassion. God isn't looking for people who accomplish only what human effort achieves. He seeks vessels through whom He can do the impossible. Don't plan merely what you can accomplish independently. Ask God for assignments requiring His supernatural intervention. Be a Dorcas—living faith actively, impacting your world significantly, demonstrating God's power authentically. This is true discipleship.
