Day 3: Acting in Faith Changes Everything
Reading: Acts 9:34; John 9:1-11
Devotional:
Imagine the faith required in Peter's command: "Arise and make up your bed." Imagine the greater faith required for Aeneas to actually do it. For eight years, that bed had been his entire world, his identity, his limitation. Standing meant leaving behind everything familiar, risking failure, embracing a completely new life. Yet he didn't hesitate. Faith without action is dead. The man born blind in John 9 had to walk to the pool before sight came. Faith often requires us to move before we see the outcome. What "bed" has become your identity? What limitation have you accepted as permanent? God may be calling you to arise, to act before you feel ready, to trust His word over your circumstances. Faith acts immediately on God's promises, even when eight years of experience says otherwise.
