Day 4: Building Up One Another
Reading: 1 Thessalonians 5:11; Romans 14:19; Ephesians 4:11-12
Devotional:
The church grows healthy when every member actively builds up others. This isn't the responsibility of pastors alone—Ephesians reveals that church leaders exist to equip the saints for ministry. Each believer has received a manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. Your words, actions, and presence either construct or destruct the spiritual house. Paul urges us to "pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another." Edification requires intentionality. It means choosing encouragement over criticism, truth spoken in love over harsh judgment, and investing in others' spiritual growth. During times of peace, we have unique opportunities to strengthen one another without the distractions of persecution or crisis. Take inventory: Are your conversations building faith or breeding doubt? Do your actions inspire others toward Christ or distract them from Him?

Who in my church community needs building up today, and how can I actively encourage them?
