Paul's bold proclamation of Jesus immediately attracted enemies. The same religious leaders who once celebrated his persecution of Christians now plotted to kill him. This pattern would follow Paul throughout his ministry. Opposition isn't a sign you're doing something wrong—it's often confirmation you're doing something right. When you exclusively proclaim Jesus as the only way, you will face resistance. The enemy uses attack, division, distraction, comfort, and success to silence gospel witness. Yet God protected Paul through faithful believers who lowered him over the wall in a basket. Don't be surprised when following Jesus brings conflict. Remember Jesus' words: "If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you." Opposition means you're making a difference for the Kingdom.
