Day 5: Multiplication Through Elevation
Reading: John 12:32; Acts 9:31
Devotional:
Acts 9:31 reveals that the church "was multiplied"—not merely added to, but exponentially increased. Notice the passive voice: the church didn't multiply itself through programs or strategies alone. Jesus declared, "If I am lifted up... I will draw all peoples to Myself." When Christ is elevated in our lives and worship, multiplication happens naturally, like fire spreading from flame to flame. The healthy church in times of peace focuses on lifting up Jesus, and He does the drawing. This is the "each one reach one" principle in action. Multiplication begins when you encounter Christ's transforming power and cannot help but share it with others. Evangelism isn't a burden to bear but an overflow of genuine relationship with the living God. As you've been built up, as you've walked in holy fear, as you've experienced the Spirit's comfort—now you become a conduit for others to experience the same.
