Day 3: The Ministry of Encouragement
Reading: Acts 11:23-24; Hebrews 10:24-25
Devotional:
Barnabas, the "Son of Encouragement," saw the grace of God in Antioch and was glad. He didn't seek credit or feel jealous that he hadn't started this work himself. Instead, he encouraged everyone "with purpose of heart" to continue with the Lord. His encouragement came through both words and life—he was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith. The result? Many more were added to the Lord. Your encouragement matters more than you know. Someone in your church, workplace, or family needs to hear affirming words today. Not empty flattery, but genuine recognition of God's grace in their life. Be intentional about stirring up love and good works in others. Refuse to complain or dispute. Instead, shine as a light by being an encourager who points people toward continued faithfulness to Jesus.
