Reading: Acts 9:39-41 and 2 Corinthians 4:7
Devotional:
When summoned to Dorcas, Peter didn't perform a show. He sent everyone out, knelt, and prayed—demonstrating profound humility. He understood that God's power, not human ability, raises the dead. Peter had witnessed Jesus raise Jairus's daughter and Lazarus; now he participated in similar ministry. We carry this extraordinary treasure of God's power in fragile clay jars, ensuring the surpassing power belongs to God alone. True disciples don't seek platforms for self-display but opportunities to demonstrate Christ's authority. Before acting, Peter prayed—acknowledging complete dependence on God. When facing impossible situations, do you rush ahead in self-confidence or kneel in humble dependence? God accomplishes the impossible through those who recognize their insufficiency and rely wholly on His sufficiency. Position yourself as a vessel for His glory.

Relying on God is sometimes hard. Trusting Him and standing still and worshipping while you wait. So often I have ran ahead and tried to do things on my own. But God always gently reminds me to keep my eyes on Him and to never loose sight of Him. Don’t get ahead of him and don’t lolly gag behind, but to walk with Him. Everyday, I am learning the joy of walking with God.
