Day 5: The Widow's Offering

Jesus sat opposite the treasury, watching. The rich gave much from their abundance, but one poor widow gave two small coins—everything she had. Jesus called His disciples and declared she gave more than all the others. She gave her whole livelihood.
God doesn't measure our giving by amount but by sacrifice. The Antioch church gave "according to ability," yet the principle remains: what matters is the heart behind the gift. The widow trusted God completely, holding nothing back. Her offering reflected total dependence on divine provision.
What are you holding back from God? He doesn't need your abundance; He desires your trust. When we give sacrificially—our time, resources, talents, and very lives—we demonstrate faith that God will provide. Thriving believers understand that everything belongs to God anyway. Give generously today, trusting His faithful provision.
