Cosmic Battle for the Gospel - Day 2: Recognizing the Enemy's Tactics

Day 2: Recognizing the Enemy's Tactics
Reading: 2 Corinthians 11:13-15; 2 Peter 2:1-2

Devotional:
Bar-Jesus did not announce himself as an enemy of the gospel. He positioned himself in the spiritual and religious realm, attached himself to a man of influence, and worked quietly to turn Sergius Paulus away from the truth. This is how the enemy operates. He does not always come with open hostility. He comes disguised, persuasive, and subtle. He convinces the church that witnessing is optional. He turns our attention inward. He uses false teachers dressed in the language of righteousness. Paul warns that Satan himself transforms into an angel of light. Discernment is not optional — it is survival.

Personal Reflection:
In what ways have you been subtly persuaded that gospel witness is someone else's responsibility? What voices have reinforced that idea?

Practical Application:
Examine the spiritual voices you regularly consume — teachers, podcasts, books. Ask honestly whether they are directing you outward toward the lost or primarily inward toward personal comfort.

So truth. Decernment comes through continous prayer and is neccessary because the enemy is so convincing that he is so hard to recognize because we want so much to believe in good . Only through the Holy Spirit in us can we know the truth about his works in people especially those we want to believe that are good . God is our helper . Thankful and grateful. The whole armor of God is needed . EXODUS 1414.
