Day 5: The War Is Already Won
Reading: Ephesians 6:10-18; Revelation 17:14
Devotional:
Paul makes clear in Ephesians 6 that the battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of darkness. The armor of God is not a defensive huddle for frightened believers. It is offensive equipment for advancing the Kingdom. Every piece of that armor — truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, the Word of God — is rooted in Christ Himself. He is the armor. And Revelation 17:14 declares that the Lamb will overcome, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings. The outcome is not in question. Every act of faithful witness, regardless of the visible result, is a victory. Opposition does not mean defeat. Obedience is the victory.

What fear has kept you from witnessing boldly? How does the certainty of Christ's ultimate victory change the way you view that fear?
Practical Application:
The next time you face an opportunity to share the gospel and feel resistance or fear, remind yourself aloud: the war is already won. Then speak anyway.
