Day 4: Forgiveness Is Not Something You Earn
Reading: Acts 13:38-39; Romans 3:19-24
Devotional:
The law is a mirror, not a remedy. It reveals the depth of human sin and exposes guilt, but it cannot remove it. Religion, effort, and moral achievement cannot close the gap between a holy God and a sinful person. Only Jesus can. Paul's declaration in Antioch is staggering in its simplicity and its scope — through Jesus, forgiveness of sins is proclaimed, and through Him, everyone who believes is justified. That word justified means declared righteous before God, not because of anything you have done, but because of everything Jesus has done. The guilt is gone. The record is cleared.

Application:
Write out a specific sin or failure you have been carrying. Confess it in prayer and receive by faith the forgiveness that is already available through Jesus.
