Day 5: The Gospel Demands a Decision
Reading: Acts 13:40-41; John 3:16-18
Devotional:
There is no neutral position when it comes to Jesus. Paul closes his message in Antioch with a sober warning drawn from the prophet Habakkuk — do not dismiss what God is doing simply because it is beyond your expectations. The gospel is not information to admire from a comfortable distance. It is good news that demands a response. You can receive it or reject it, but you cannot simply set it aside indefinitely. The question is never merely what you think about Christianity. The question is what you will do with Jesus. History confirms He came. Scripture confirms He was promised. The resurrection confirms He is alive.

Have you moved beyond admiring Jesus to actually trusting Him with your life?*
Application:
If you have never made a definitive decision to receive the forgiveness Jesus offers, today is the day to do so. If you have, examine whether your daily life reflects a genuine response to the gospel or a comfortable familiarity with it.
