Day 1: The Power Behind the Message
Reading: 1 Thessalonians 1:5-6
Devotional:
The gospel is not merely information to be transferred from one mind to another. It is a living word carried by the power of the Holy Spirit. Paul reminded the Thessalonians that the message came not in word only but in power and in much assurance. This is why two men walking into a hostile city could see a great multitude believe. The power was never in the messengers. It was in the message. When you feel inadequate to share your faith, remember that God does not ask you to manufacture results. He asks you to be a faithful carrier of a message He has already empowered. The Spirit does what words alone cannot.

Are you depending on your own ability to persuade, or are you trusting the Spirit to work through your faithful witness?
Practical Application:
Before your next conversation about faith, pause and pray specifically for the Holy Spirit to work through your words rather than relying on your own preparation alone.
