Day 1: The Cost of Getting on the Field
Reading: Acts 14:19-23 and 2 Timothy 3:10-12

Devotional:
Paul did not find himself stoned and left for dead because he had wandered from God's will. He found himself there because he had stepped fully into it. The field is where the mission happens, and the field is also where the hits come. Paul had preached, healed, and proclaimed the Gospel with boldness, and the enemy responded with violence. Yet this was not evidence of failure. It was evidence of faithfulness. Trials are not always a sign that something has gone wrong. Sometimes they are simply the price of being on the field. The question is not whether opposition will come. The question is whether you will stay in the game when it does.

In what area of your life has God called you to step onto the field, and what fears about the cost have kept you hesitant to move?

Identify one specific act of obedience you have been delaying out of fear of opposition or difficulty. Take one concrete step toward that act of obedience today.
