Day 3: God Does Not Waste Your Trials
Reading: 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 and Acts 14:21-22
Devotional:
After being stoned in Lystra, Paul did not retreat to safety and spend his days recovering in comfort. He returned to the very cities where he had faced persecution and used his experience to strengthen and encourage the believers there. Paul did not simply preach doctrine to them. He preached from the field. He had the cuts and bruises to prove what he was teaching. God does not waste the trials of those who trust Him. The comfort you have received in your suffering is not meant to be stored away. It is meant to be given away. Your trial becomes a testimony, and your testimony becomes a tool in God's hands to strengthen someone else who is about to face what you have already survived.
Reflect:
Who in your life right now is in the middle of a trial that you have already walked through? What comfort have you received from God that you could offer them?
Apply:
Reach out to that person this week. Share not a polished answer, but an honest account of how God sustained you in a similar difficulty.
