Day 5: Build for the Kingdom, Not for the Stands
Reading: Acts 14:23 and 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Devotional:
Paul and Barnabas did not simply survive their trials. They organized churches, appointed elders, prayed, fasted, and committed those believers to the Lord. They were building something that would outlast them. The Christian life is not meant to be lived in the stands. It is not measured by how much you know or how carefully you have avoided doing wrong. It is measured by how faithfully you have lived out what you know, in service to others, for the advancement of the Gospel. Adoniram Judson endured imprisonment and suffering in Burma. William Carey endured years of opposition and devastating loss in India. Paul endured stoning in Lystra. None of them stayed in the stands. They got on the field, and they built something great for the Lord. That same call belongs to you.

Are you currently allowing God to build something for the kingdom through you, or are you primarily maintaining your own comfort and watching others do the work?
Apply:
Identify one way you can move from being a spectator to a participant in the Church or community this month. Commit to it in prayer today, and then tell someone who will hold you accountable.
