Living for What Matters - Day 3: The Results Belong to God
Day 3: The Results Belong to God
Reading: John 15:1-5 and Philippians 2:12-13
Devotional:
One of the most liberating truths in the Christian life is that you are not responsible for the harvest. You are responsible for the faithfulness. Paul and Barnabas preached, suffered, strengthened believers, appointed leaders, and prayed. Then they reported what God had done. They understood the difference between their role and God's role. Jesus made it plain that apart from Him, you can do nothing. That is not discouragement. That is freedom. You do not have to manufacture results. You do not have to carry the weight of outcomes that only God can produce. Your calling is to abide, to obey, and to trust. God will do what only God can do.
Reflection:
Are you carrying a burden for results that rightfully belongs to God? How might releasing that burden change the way you serve?
Application:
Pray specifically today, naming a situation where you have been striving for results. Surrender that outcome to God and recommit to faithful obedience in your role.
