Day 5: What Will You Do With the Life God Has Given You?
Reading: Acts 14:26-28 and 2 Timothy 4:7
Devotional:
The man described at the beginning of the sermon was not a villain. He was simply busy. He intended to get involved. He intended to share his faith. He intended to invest in someone else's spiritual life. But intention without action is not faithfulness. Paul and Barnabas did not intend to give their lives to the Gospel. They gave their lives to the Gospel. One day the things you accumulated will be left behind. The positions you held will no longer matter. But the people you pointed toward Christ, the believers you strengthened, and the faithfulness you demonstrated will echo into eternity. The time to be faithful is not when things settle down. It is now.
Reflection:
If you live next week exactly as you lived last week, what will be different for eternity because God worked through you?
Application:
Before the day ends, identify one specific step you will take this week to make God's mission a priority in your life. Do not leave it as a good intention. Write it down, tell someone who will hold you accountable, and take that step by God's grace.
