Being In Tune With God Day 1: Recognizing What God Is Already Doing
Day 1: Recognizing What God Is Already Doing
Reading: John 5:17-20
Devotional:
It is easy to spend years planning what we will do for God while missing what He is already doing around us. Jesus made clear that He did nothing apart from watching what the Father was doing and joining Him in it. That is the model for every believer. Before you make your next plan, ask a different question. Not "What can I do for God today?" but "Where is God already at work, and how can I join Him?" Spiritual alertness is not passive. It requires eyes trained to see God moving, even in unexpected people and unexpected places.
Reflection:
Where have you recently seen evidence of God working that you may have overlooked or dismissed?
Practical Application:
Set aside ten minutes today to observe your surroundings with the specific question: "Where might God be at work here?" Write down what you notice.
