Day 4: Adjusting Your Life to God's Direction
Reading: 2 Kings 5:1-14
Devotional:
Naaman was a powerful man with a desperate need and a very specific idea of how his healing should happen. When God's direction did not match his expectations, he nearly walked away from the very miracle he had traveled so far to receive. His servants asked him a piercing question: if the prophet had asked something difficult, would you not have done it? We are often the same. We are willing to follow God when His direction fits our preferences. But genuine surrender means adjusting our lives to His leading, not adjusting His leading to our lives. Obedience that comes with conditions is not really obedience at all.
Reflection:
Is there a direction God has been leading you that you have resisted because it did not look the way you expected?
Practical Application:
Write down one specific area where you sense God asking you to adjust. Commit to one concrete step of obedience in that area this week, even if it feels uncomfortable or unfamiliar.
